A Note on This Beer
Little Fish Brewing is so cool. They use 100% wind-powered electricity and brew with locally-grown Ohio malts and specialty grains.
Farmhouse Ales are their forte, and they’ve crafted a long list of simple, rustic, beautiful examples of the style.
Today’s Cleft Barrel-Aged Peach Sour might be our favorite yet. If you’re into ripe, juicy stone fruit and oaky vanilla barrel character, this one’s quite the treat. The brewery barrel-aged Cleft for an extremely patient 19 months, allowing it time to mature into its most vividly flavorful state.
I don’t know a single beer geek who gives a flying hop about massive operations that crank out huge quantities of beer. It’s the choice, small production local breweries like Little Fish — who put care and consideration into every bottle — that are the diamonds in the rough worth searching for.
