I used to order an iced coffee with coconut milk and one pump of chocolate syrup from Starbucks every day — keywords: USED to. 

Now that I’ve found Aslin Beer Company’s Cocoa Mostra Stout, I have no need for that fast-cafe drink!

The brew magicians at Aslin crafted this silky-sweet Breakfast Stout with loads of cacao nibs for smooth, milk chocolate magnificence. Then, they doused the roasty treat in locally sourced Mostra coffee and a tasty serving of toasted coconut.

With each sumptuous sip, my palate swims in a deep sea of Dark Beer delight: fresh brewed java kissed with lacings of Mounds Bar deliciousness and a hint of vanilla-like sweetness.

If its complex layers of frothy espresso decadence aren’t enough to jolt your senses awake, then its staggering 4.38 Untappd rating ought to do the trick! Then again, once you’ve slurped this sensuous Stout enough to find that not even the 16.5% ABV can overcome its rich rivers of flavor, that rating may not come as a shock.

I must admit, that massive ABV does mean I can’t just down a bottle of Cocoa Mostra in the morning like I would my Starbucks iced coffee (I do have a company to run, after all). But, I won’t let that stop me from tapping into a bottle once I hit the five-o’-clock slumps — or any other time I might need a little Mocha-coconut latte madness!
