About This Beer
Barrel Aged Dark Star is one of the most highly anticipated, endlessly sought after, FOMO-inducing series we’ve ever seen. Coconut Cacao Barrel Aged Dark Star is certainly no exception!
The brewers crafted this brew by blending Stouts aged between 8 and 24 months in 7-12 year old Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. Then they added heaps of coconut and the highest quality cacao nibs available from their friends at Theo Chocolate.
Tasting Notes
Every sip is like an artisanal dark chocolate truffle with a rich and creamy coconut filling. Roasty malts lend nuances of mocha flavor, while a touch of bourbon adds a bit of warmth to a finish that’s a touch sweet, but never cloying.

This one is really nice! Bakers chocolate mixed with coconut and dark coffee, I also get a little date and oak pith… finally I get a nice bourbon backbone that subtly helps to blend all of the other tastes together.

This was great. That coconut makes it like a creamy sweet milk chocolate. But the barrel aged makes that nice little whiskey toffee char.
