A Note on This Beer
Nestled in a tight canyon in the mountains west of Denver, the town of Idaho Springs, Colorado began as a jumping off point for 1800s gold seekers. To date, the frontier-style buildings, old gold mill, and waterfall cascading down the cliffs beckon travelers from all over.
Only these days, it’s not gold-thirsty folks trekking out — thanks to Westbound & Down Brewing, it’s thirsty craft fans braving the mountain passes for fresh tastes from GABF’s 2019 Midsize Brewpub of the Year!
And when we say “fresh tastes,” we really mean fresh. Westbound & Down uses 100% pure Colorado snowmelt and rain water in their brews, filtered right onsite.
This is just one of the many reasons 303 Magazine calls them one of the Top Breweries Worth the Drive — but, there’s no need to start planning some crazy, post-quarantine journey just yet. We’ll bring today’s Coffee Porter straight to your doorstep!
One sip, and you’ll see why Westbound & Down’s brews are so sought-after. This robust, decadent Porter is layered in rich coffee from a local Colorado roaster. Toasty espresso flavors beautifully weave between silky-smooth chocolate and toffee notes, like a 6.5% ABV, caramel-drizzled mocha!
Just grab it quick, because the last time we had Coffee Porter it was all snatched up in one day. Better beat that Tavour rush!
*Westbound & Down Brewing also has two Silver GABF medals!
