A Note on This Beer

Wisconsin locals are cheesin’ over this new collaboration from Oliphant Brewing and The Brewing Projekt!

@Jason B. could hardly contain himself, saying he’s been “Really, really looking forward to this one. Two of my favorite breweries ever, and they didn’t disappoint!”

No, they did not! These two supercrews from America’s Dairyland crafted today’s Collaberal Damage with all the clean, hoppy potency we love about West Coast-style IPAs.

Whip out the Wisconsin Cheddar, because the citrusy, bitter hop profile on this beauty pairs phenomenally with the subtle funk and sharpness of the cheese.

Backed by heaps of Cascade, Amarillo, Talus, and Simcoe Hops, each sip flows with huge notes of fresh-squeezed OJ, evergreen pine, and bitter grapefruit pith. The malty base makes for a soft, yet quenching mouthfeel, while also lending a whisper of sweetness to every taste.

It finishes dry and refreshing, like a WC-style IPA ought to — it’s an ideal brew for packing into the cooler before heading out to the beach, or for sipping beside the campfire. Or, for when you want something special to help wash down that good ol’ American cheese.

At first I hated this and thought it was barely drinkable, especially in comparison with the IPA I had before this one, but it has grown on me somewhat. Still I’m giving it the lowest rating of anything I’ve gotten from Tavour. As an Oregonian, I could get a 6 pack of a local IPA like Deschutes for not much more $ than this pint, and more drinkable

Nu-School Wedt Coast IPA. Berry notes on palate with a great slap of pine on finish. Smooth mouthfeel as well.

Classic West Coast dank aromas with a bit of spruce & maple sugar. Slightly biscuity flavor at the beginning with some sweet, subtly spicy hoppy goodness. Creamy mouthfeel with a lovely, bitter finish.

definitely fails to meet the parameters of west coast ipa and it hardly meets those of a decent ipa. thick mouthfeel, with muted flavors of pine and berry. not good

Love the cover art of this can and was picturing how this would taste just from that and the name of it . Its def a west coast ipa from just looking at it you can feel the sourness begin to wrap around your mouth in the best way possible . was a lil too much on the sourness to my liking but rated a 4 because being a nice chilled beer it made it better and more enjoyable

Citrus and stone fruit followed by a nice bitter piney juniper taste. Real well balanced American IPA but wish it was less hazy so real West Coast attributes would be present. Would definitely drink it again (and and again)!

Daily corona battle. Steak night edition. This is malty and west coast piney. Moderate bitterness and pretty good to style.
