A Note on This Beer
My friend Erin moved to Costa Rica three years ago. After her move, her Instagram was a visual smorgasbord of violet coastal sunsets and crystal blue waters.
Every week, she’d ride her beach cruiser into town and purchase freshly roasted coffee beans from the street market. Once she returned home, she’d grind the beans by hand and brew them with her French press, filling the house with their invigorating fragrance.
But, none of that even comes CLOSE to the natural beauty of today’s Imperial Stout, Costa Rican French Press!
The brewmasters at Weathered Souls crafted this sumptuous sipper with toasted coconut, Dominican Cacao Nibs, and Red Honey processed coffee from Florida’s Longroad Coffee Co. Those “red honey” processed beans impart a silky, sweet, honey-like essence that perfectly compliment the roasty malt.
Crack open a can, and treat your nose to an aromatic bouquet of freshly brewed coffee and nutty sweetness. Then, let each velvety sip coat your tongue in rich, dark chocolate and creamy coconut, while finishing pleasantly dry.
It’s creativity like this that’s earned Weathered Souls the prestigious title of HopCulture’s Best Brewery of 2020! But, you’d be hard pressed to find their brews outside of Texas. Which means not even Erin could get her hands on a can!
