A Note on This Beer
Reuben’s Brews has been “crushing” Seattle’s hazy-craving palates with their Crush IPA series for 2 years, always selling out within days. For the first time ever, this series is leaving Seattle’s borders with a beer made just for Tavour’s community: the juicy feast of hazy mango and papaya flavors in Crushed in the Mail Double IPA.
Just released at Reuben’s taproom and already earning a 4.25 Untappd score, this 8% ABV smoothie is wowing taproom regulars and Tavour members alike with comments like:
- “Hoppy juicyness like no tomorrow!” - @gumbit
- “They indeed crush it” - @Vode
- “Soooooo dangerously easy to drink. Careful with this one ;)” - @Nictator
Pouring like deep orange papaya nectar with aromas of orange creamsicles, Crushed in the Mail is a fruit bomb: no questions asked. Azacca and Comet Hops lead the way, dropping juiced-up charges of ripe mangoes and wild grapefruits. Mosaic and Citra Hops deliver support with a zesty orange notes and a honeydew melon mouthfeel. It might be 8% ABV, but you won’t even notice -- a kiss of Honey malts bring a subtle, just-squeezed pineapple sweetness to the finish.
We’ve been bringing you Reuben’s GABF-Gold winning brews since day one, and we’re proud to finally give you a taste of their Crush hazy series for the first time outside of Washington. Nectar, nectar, juice, juice -- from the aroma to the taste, this beer will be the first time the term “Crushed in the Mail” fills you with joy. Hazy joy.
