About This Beer
June 20th is officially the first day of summer, and summer means doing dad stuff: yard work, barbecues, and enjoying refreshing beer through it all!
The folks at Austin Brothers Beer Co. not only recognize dad season, they celebrate it! They’re like stairs – always up to something. Recently, it was crafting a juicy IPA that’s a shoe-in with dads of all kinds.
The Michigan-based brewers dry-hopped Dad Shoes New England-style IPA with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe Hops. It’s a combination that just makes “scents,” if the aim is oodles of tangy, tropical aromas.

I'm trying to like IPAs & hazy ones tend to be more approachable - this one is still a bit heavy on the hops for my taste, but it isn't too much.

Might be a little biased because I just because a Dad for the first time, but this was delicious.

An easy sipping IPA that's good on a hot day after working in the yard. I really enjoyed this after spending the day in the hot sun staining my deck.

A decent IPA that I would recommend and drink again!

Herbal and resinous, creeps on sticky, then settles into pine and fennel, and a hint of orange rind. Finishes clean and creamy.

Not overly hazy, but a very solid ipa. Has the classic hop bitterness and maltiness I love, yet still has a mild juicy citrus profile
