A Note on This Beer
New Zealand Haze: A massive double dry-hopping with Motueka amplifies additions of Azacca, Amarillo, and Citra Hops. Frenzy of Flavor: Zingy lemon-lime overtones float above tropical Mandarin and juicy mango flavors. A touch of pithy grapefruit dries things out on the finish.
After tasting today’s DDH Local 755 with Motueka, I’m shocked that I’ve never tried anything from this series before. There’s a whole catalog of DDH Local 755 beers, and they all have some wonderful things in common.
Like legions of clamoring fans. And, juiced up flavor profiles so tropical, you’ll think they were squeezed into the cans by the folks at Tropicana.
But, no — these ultra juicy brews come from BlackStack Brewing — one of Eater’s Five Best Breweries in the Twin Cities, alongside powerhouses like Surly and Fair State.
Maybe you missed out on all the previous editions of DDH Local 755, but you don’t have to let today’s Motueka version slip through your fingers. Grab a can or two, and discover a series of Imperial IPAs that’ll leave you breathlessly anticipating the next release.
