A Note on This Beer
There’s a good chance you’ve heard of cryo-hops by now. They’re the super concentrated hops that add impossibly juicy flavors to Deadly Combination: Citra + Idaho 7.
And to really crank things up, the brewers at New York’s Barrier also used a brand new, ultra-potent form of hops that you might not have heard of: Incognito!
That’s not a hop variety — Incognito is a new, intense liquid concentration of hops that just made its debut last year! Only the most cutting edge breweries are using this stuff so far, and the folks at Barrier are no strangers to innovation.
With both types of hop concentrate PLUS regular hops, it’s no wonder the brewers say today’s brew is “here to wreak havoc with your tastebuds.”
If the boisterous flavors of juicy peach, tropical pineapple, and fresh-squeezed OJ in this brew are what ‘havoc’ tastes like, sign me up! That’s some tasty turmoil I’m ready to embrace!
Soon, you’ll probably start seeing these new Incognito Hops popping up in beers around the country. But for now, they’re still incredibly hard to find. If you want to see what the future of hoppy beer tastes like, grab yourself a sip!
*Forbes calls Barrier one of the Best Breweries in New York because they set such a high bar with their IPAs!
