A Note on This Beer

When Hop Culture attended the Green City Beer Festival in Brooklyn, they tried a lot of breweries they really liked, some of the most popular in the country. But “the only brewery that made [them] come back for seconds, thirds, and maybe even fourths was Holy Mountain.”

This doesn’t surprise me at all. Living in Seattle, I’ve seen unmatched release-day sellout speeds for their brews.

One time, I even saw two beer buddies high-five in a bar because Holy Mountain’s Demonteller was on tap.

The brewery hops this oak foeder fermented, mixed culture Saison with tropical Galaxy and Mosaic. The resulting flavor is bright and complex with notes of oaky, funked-out stone fruit, tangy passionfruit, and juicy tangerine.

The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows Holy Mountain to utilize hops from some of the best producers in the world, as well as explore the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation.

Today, you have a shot at the latest batch of Demonteller flavor exploration. Think they’ve dialed into delicious yet? Many beer geeks do — the last batch we featured sold out in less than 48 hours!

Funky, fruity, tart, crisp, and dry. Lemony with notes of passionfruit and tangerine. Pairs excellently with an experimental blue cheese with a Camembert rind, which you won’t find anywhere because it’s experimental.

Funky & floral notes typical for a saison, but with hints of sweet lemon.

One of the best session strength beers ive had. Subtle fruity hops with slight horsey brett and a tea like aroma. Not an in-your-face aroma like NEIPA,but perfectly balanced with nuance. If I were a stickler, id say a bit more carbonation would be great. An overall delicious success!
