A Note on This Beer
When Hop Culture attended the Green City Beer Festival in Brooklyn, they tried a lot of breweries they really liked, some of the most popular in the country. But “the only brewery that made [them] come back for seconds, thirds, and maybe even fourths was Holy Mountain.”
This doesn’t surprise me at all. Living in Seattle, I’ve seen unmatched release-day sellout speeds for their brews.
One time, I even saw two beer buddies high-five in a bar because Holy Mountain’s Demonteller was on tap.
The brewery hops this oak foeder fermented, mixed culture Saison with tropical Galaxy and Mosaic. The resulting flavor is bright and complex with notes of oaky, funked-out stone fruit, tangy passionfruit, and juicy tangerine.
The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows Holy Mountain to utilize hops from some of the best producers in the world, as well as explore the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation.
Today, you have a shot at the latest batch of Demonteller flavor exploration. Think they’ve dialed into delicious yet? Many beer geeks do — the previous batch is rated a whopping 4.39 on UT!
