About This Beer
In the spirit of 19th century barkeeps on Baker’s Street, Hoppin’ Frog made a special batch of black treacle (what we’d call molasses) just for this beer. Then, they aged Den Haag in bourbon barrels, for layers of smokey whiskey.
Tasting Notes
As you sip, the beer’s velvety body delights the palate with notes of brown sugar, figs, sticky toffee, and vanilla. Whispers of molasses and well-worn leather appear on the finish, like sinking into an armchair in the corner of your favorite pub.

Bomber from Tavour. Dark brown, opaque, syrupy pour. Boozy aroma, chocolate, woody, vanilla, molasses. The first two aspects of the taste are the burn and the sweetness. Vanilla, raisins, figs, bourbon. A smidge of nail polish remover. Sipper.

Let this beer sit a few years, and holy shit! Some quality life at almost 17%🤠

Freaking delicious! Carmel, toffee and booze on the nose leads to a syrupy sweet bourbon flavor and luscious mouth-feel. It hits hard so you'll want to enjoy with some friends. I wish I had bought more than one bottle so I could save some for a later date! Totally worth the price, and I'm considering making a trip to Akron to see what else Hoppin' Frog has to offer! If this comes back on the Tavour market I will definitely be grabbing another few bottles!

Man this will put some hair on your chest that’s for sure. Complex nose & taste. New to this leather flavor, so that’s interesting. The molasses & vanilla combine well. Very boozy of course at 16.8% but these flavors complement each other w/ a sweet end.

whiskey barrel, leathery, dried fruits. nose is bourbony, Oakey, leathery, somewhat sweet. body is somewhat viscous yet still maintains a certain thinness. similar to a good barleywine

Surprisingly complex for its style. The noticeable bitterness nicely balances the sweetness.

Good dark fruit and molasses notes. Barrel-aging is well done.
