About This Beer
The Miami craft crew infused their rich and roasty Russian Imperial Stout base with cassia bark — cinnamon’s aromatic cousin — while aging it in Woodford Reserve 10 year whiskey barrels along with cacao nibs and ancho chilis.
Tasting Notes
Desperado shows up at the bar dark and brooding, yet undeniably smooth. The swoon-worthy fragrance of earthy spice and oaky booze emanate from its silky, nearly-still depths. A sip will tell the tale of Mexican hot chocolate while strumming notes of baking spice, vanilla, and espresso as it goes along.
The brew’s peppery heat harmonizes with its sweetness, building as you sip. But it’s the belly-warming 13% ABV that’s most likely to make you blush.

hick with cocoa & heat plus the barrel comes through very well. Even some dark fruit & molasses coming through. A lot going on here in a good way IMO.
