About This Beer
To craft Dire Wolf Coffee Joy, the Wolf’s Ridge crew started with a rich Stout base. Then they infused with hand toasted coconut, vanilla bean, and cacao nibs for the opulent flavor of a chocolate truffle with a coconut mousse center. A decadent blend of espresso and single-origin light roast coats it all in bold café flavor.
Tasting Notes
This sumptuous Russian Imperial Stout tastes like someone dropped an Almond Joy into a roasty dark roast coffee! Luscious currents of mocha swirled with coconut anglaise completely hide the 10.8% ABV.

Really outstanding brew with great coffee and cocoa notes. Very smooth texture that slides down well.

Oh what a great tongue turner..such a mix of flavors such as chocolate marshmallow nutty coffee and on but you really taste them all at some point

Mostly got chocolate, not really tasting coconut, coffee, or vanilla

Nice and roasty. The very oily coffee shines through, with the cacao, vanilla, and coconut following after

This craft tasted exactly as advertised, with a rich cocoa and coffee flavor with a soft Coconut finish. I really enjoyed this brew!

We ordered this one from Tavour in a 22 ounce bottle, chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass. Look: dark and almost black, light tan finger and a half head that dissipates quickly but leaves a shallow head residual that stuck around for a while (super tiny bubbles that almost look like its on nitro). Light lacing that trails. Smell: dark roast, sweet dark coffee, dark roasted chocolate maltiness (but no cocoa distinguishable) and subtle coconut Taste: dark roasted sweet coffee, coconut (almost vanilla notes), roasted chocolate maltiness with some hints of cocoa. The trailing notes are sweet, cocoa and coconut. Not boozy at all. Slight bittering from the roast, not from the hop. Feel: SMOOOOOTH, little to no carbonation, full body but not syrupy. No warming from the booze. We are dark beer fans and so I guess take our rating with that in mind. The coffee is pretty mild and the sweet cocoa and coconut are pretty subtle. Well balanced beer overall, none of the flavors are too harsh or in your face but the sweet notes hide the 10.4% ABV very well. Good sipping sweet stout. Cheers!

Has a bit of a heavy alcohol burn to it. Makes it hard to really enjoy all the flavor the beer has to offer. Cocoa nibs, coconut, and coffee are just a great mix of flavors. I really like this beer- I just wish the alcohol content was a tiny bit lower (for flavor only).

Coffee comes through balanced and not bitter. Very smooth! Not too sweet or heavy. Loved!

Good beer other than the slime
that plopped out of the can into the beer as I poured it.

The aroma is a delight blend of coffee, chocolate, earthy notes. The flavor shows a good amount of coffee with the chocolate and coconut plus vanilla taking a backseat. Mouthfeel is thick and rich. A very nice stout.
