A Note on This Beer
Social distancing makes me yearn for the days of vacationing in NYC and hitting the comedy clubs. On any given night, a celebrity might pop on stage, mid-show, unannounced, and just floor the crowd.
My favorite haunt is Q.E.D. in Queens. It’s a tiny, 50-seat capacity joint, so you’re up-close-and-personal with the comics no matter where you sit. And, the best part about this place: they always have SingleCut on tap!
Most comedy joints only offer macro-swill, so it always felt extra special to snag a juicebomb from the beersmiths named one of the Best Breweries in New York City by everyone from VinePair to Craft Beer & Brewing!
On the most memorable evening, I was sipping on SingleCut’s Does Anybody Remember Laughter? IPA. Sipping is an understatement — I was slugging down this pillowy, pineapple hop-nectar laden, peach-blasted, dankasaurus like it was straight juice. If not for a kiss of hop-spice on the finish, you wouldn’t have convinced me otherwise.
That night both Dave Attell and Michael Che dropped in for surprise sets! I was laughing so hard my stomach felt like I’d just done fifty crunches. I won’t tell you how many SingleCut juicebombs I crushed during that show. I’ll just say it was a happy cab ride home.
