About This Beer
If you’re not familiar with the Dortmunder style, it’s basically a full-flavored Lager that originated in the German city of Dortmund.
During the 19th century, the region’s coal miners would unearth themselves from a 12-hour shift and hit the biergartens in search of something refreshing enough to cleanse their dusty palates, but also hearty enough to satisfy their cravings.
Lupulin’s Dortmunder hits that balance beautifully! It even won GABF Gold!
Tasting Notes
Gentle caramel malts swirl against bread crust flavors, floral notes, and hints of citrus. On the finish, a soft bite of hoppy resin keeps things bright and balanced.

Fantastic. Earthy, clean hops combine with biscuit and bread flavors for an almost pumpernickel bread experience. Excellent lager, hope to swee it more often

Great lager from a great brewery.

Very smooth. Very plain. Nothing slightly exciting about it, other than the brewery who made it. The flavor was a terrible experience for me. It tasted very dry, bitter, and stale.

A very drinkable beer, close to the Dortmunder style, though not quite as smooth as it should be.

dry finish. taste of toast and malt. A style not done enough. Barely Fordge had their Grandpa Tractor that was a damn good Dortmunder.
