About This Beer
To make it, the Icarus crew first crafted a massively malty body with a touch of rye for complexity. Then they wrapped it up with a generous dose of Galena and Chinook hops. Finally, to give it a smooth, caramel-kissed body and a luxurious finish, they aged it for a whopping 25 months:
First it spent 18 months in Heaven Hill barrels, and another 7 months in hard-to-find Private Batch Heaven Hill barrels!
Tasting Notes
Take a sip, and you’ll find yourself weaving between flavors of earthy walnut, Hershey’s chocolate, and smooth whiskey. Spangles of date and toffee wrap up the fringes, leading to a finish that unfurls with notes of oak and rye bread.
