A Note on This Beer
I just checked the weather for Lafayette, Louisiana, and today it’s 92 degrees and raining. That’s brutal.
And yet, every time Parish Brewing releases a new limited edition IPA, people line up in that sticky heat for hours just to get a drop.
I don’t know if I could do it! I’m pretty sure I would literally melt like the Wicked Witch of the West! But after tasting today’s Double Dry-Hopped Nova Vert IPA I know it’s worth the risk.
This is the very first time this juicy hopbomb has ever left the brewery, but local fans have already rated it a massive 4.34 on Untappd!
If you haven’t heard of Parish before, it’s only because their juicy brews are impossible to find without trekking down to the Gulf Coast. Craft Beer and Brewing called them a Breakout Brewer, and their 4.20 BA Brewery-rating is higher than celebrated IPA makers like KCBC, Pipeworks and Stone!
Luckily, I don’t have to suffer in the humidity for a sip of this Hazy, and neither do you. We’ve managed to snag a few cases of this dank and fruity brew so you can grab a taste without subjecting yourself to a steam bath.
Take a sip of today’s 6.9% ABV Hazy, and you’ll understand why folks are willing to brave the heat for DDH Nova.
To create it, Parish took their celebrated Nova Vert IPA and doubled up the Simcoe, Mosaic, and Amarillo Hops for twice the deliciousness! That means twice as much tropical pineapple! Two times the pithy grapefruit! Double the dank! And plenty of oats in the mash to keep the mouthfeel smoother than silk.
Pick up a few bottles of DDH Nova Vert and introduce yourself and your buddies to one of the best new breweries in the country.
And if you want the experience to be truly authentic, just head on down to the local spa and drink one in the Sauna. It’ll feel just like summer in Lafayette. Try not to pass out.
