About This Beer
The SoCal craft phenoms at Smog City started by brewing a classic Belgian Style Dubbel Ale with a bold and malty flavor profile. Then they aged it in bourbon barrels for a full 18 months alongside Michigan-grown tart cherries!
Tasting Notes
The fruit seems to accentuate the barrel notes, elevating flavors of whiskey caramel and oaky vanilla to heights usually only attainable by an expert mixologist. Nuances of orange zest materialize from the pour, completing the cocktail illusion. Your taste buds won’t know if they’re in a Belgian taproom or a classic speakeasy!

Definitely inspired by an old fashioned, I would say it’s a little more cherry-forward than the actual drink, but still a good beer

Wow! It took a few sips to understand the flavors…boozy like an old fashioned, orange and finishes with hints of cherry. Great sipper with friends!
