About This Beer
For their 8th anniversary, the crew at TrimTab crafted a tart, tangy Saison and aged it in Zinfandel barrels. When I turned eight, all I got was a stuffed toy elephant and some grocery store sheet cake.
Clearly, TrimTab is a classier kind of eight-year-old than I ever was. This elegant brew more than proves it.
Tasting Notes
Vinous flavors of grape skin and berry lead things off, along with a pop of puckering tartness. A subtle touch of oak lingers in the background, while nuanced, grassy funk plays hide and seek with your taste buds. It’s the kind of brew you could sip on the back porch on a sunny afternoon, but it will be equally at home paired with a candle-lit dinner.
