A Note on This Beer
Watching my kids wake up early on Saturdays to watch cartoons and chow down on sugary cereal always puts a twinkle in my eye.
It reminds me of myself at their age, running down the stairs (still in my onesie pajamas) to grab a plate of breakfast, then charging to the living room to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I’ve gotta admit, I am a little jealous of their carefree life. Meanwhile, I’ve got to take care of the chores around the house.
Well, not this Saturday! I’m gonna post up right in front of the TV next to those little tykes and enjoy my own sweet treats: Main & Mill’s brand-new Green With Evil and Emperor of Evil!
The brewery that Sauce Magazine calls “one of St. Louis’ best kept secrets” made these nostalgic sippers for the candy-crazed kids in all of us now-busy adults. If you could use a chore-free Saturday, I highly recommend snagging this 2-pack and joining me!
Green With Evil - 8% ABV - x1 can
If ever there was a beer for watching Saturday morning cartoons in your pajamas, it’s Green With Evil. The pour is greener than the grass on my lawn (which, I totally should mow, but I’ll save that for Sunday)!
Just as enticing as that color is this Sour Ale’s real candy flavor. The brewers at Main & Mill crafted Green With Evil with green apple candies, so every sip boasts the sweet-tart deliciousness of green Jolly Ranchers. It’s delightfully effervescent and crisp, with an invigorating pucker that’ll really help wipe the sleep from your eyes.
Emperor of Evil - 7% ABV - x1 can
Once you finish your candy, it’s time for the main course: this creamy, rich Strawberry Milkshake IPA.
Main & Mill brewed Emperor of Evil with heaps of real strawberries and velvety vanilla for authentic milkshake flavor, plus a silky ribbon of lactose for that ice cream smoothness. They also dosed the beer with Citra Hops and all-new Barbe Rouge Hops from France.
The Citra Hops add a spike of orange zest flavor to every plush sip, while Barbe Rouge injects the beer with signature strawberry sweetness, and a hint of bright red raspberries. It almost makes you want to top off the glass with whipped cream and sprinkles before diving in!
Not every Saturday has to be a get-’er-done day. Give yourself a well-deserved break, and indulge in some sweet relaxation with these brews!
