About This Beer

Remember the scene in Jurassic Park where the game warden finds himself surrounded by velociraptors? Knowing he has no way out, he merely utters, “clever girl.”

That’s exactly how my parched tongue feels while staring down a can of Ever Clever DDH. The crew at Bearded Iris loaded this Hazy with a theme park’s worth of lupulin — enough to send ripples through each glass as hopheads sip with delight!

Tasting Notes

The brew has your palate flanked on all sides by Centennial, Mosaic, Motueka, and Simcoe Hops! The melange of cones gives the smooth body a tropical vibe of tangy grapefruit, sweet mandarin, and creamy mango flavors bursting from the juicy concoction.

As the tropicality washes over your taste buds, subtle notes of ripe berry and dank pine reveal themselves for a final layer of complexity. With refreshment and lupulin in lockstep, you’ll hardly notice the 8.5% ABV as it creeps over you!

For DDH the aroma is lacking, basically put my nose on top of it and took a hard drag to get anything, nice lace on the glass, good overall flavor, pretty sweet for an IPA but definitely agree skittles is a stretch, lots of dank hoppiness but perceptively low bitterness

While I liked Homestyle, I loved this. Having them side by side was a nice comparison to see the difference in 2 of their beers. DDH FTW
