The barrel-aging experts at Hoppin’ Frog can’t leave “well enough” alone. That’s fine by us!

Their original Barrel-Aged D.O.R.I.S. the Destroyer Stout already commands a huge following of Dark Beer diehards — folks thirsty for big ABV sippers with complex bourbon barrel flavor. 

Now, Hoppin’ Frog has upped the ante by releasing their first-ever batch of Extended Barrel-Aged D.O.R.I.S. the Destroyer!

It’s even bigger and bolder than the OG! Dark chocolate and espresso notes shape the brew’s smooth body into a liquid indulgence that could replace even the thickest chocolate cake. Then, the brewers took that extravagant liquid and laid it to rest in bourbon barrels for 5x longer than the normal D.O.R.I.S.!

That much time spent in barrels imbued the rich, mocha-like beer with a strong layer of toasted vanilla and woody spice. A thick ribbon of caramel comes through from the bourbon, helping mask the outstanding 10.5% ABV even more.

Watch your back when you break into this dastardly D.O.R.I.S. — if any Hoppin’ Frog fans hear you have some of the first and only stash to leave Ohio, they’ll likely pull every trick in the book to steal a sip.
