A Note on This Beer
Belgian Sour, New England Style IPA, Texas Toasted Marshmallow Stout.
Okay, that last one is made up, but the first two are prime examples of how a regional beer style has the power to etch an everlasting image into the entire craft scene. And the next local genre stamping its name onto the beer map is the Florida Weisse.
The Sunshine State took the Berliner Weisse, one of the most refreshingly tart styles in existence, and over-fruited the heck out of it. They stuffed it full of sweet nectar until it was so juicy, it would satisfy Floridians accustomed to picking fresh oranges from their backyards.
The collaboration kings at Untitled Art wanted to pay homage to the Florida Weisse with today’s beer named after the style. But, this time they didn’t team up with Mikerphone, Angry Chair, WeldWerks, or any of the all-star breweries they’ve worked with before.
Oh no, they sought out the sour fruit sorcerers at Wild Mild, who Growler Mag says have a hell of a lot of fun with experimental brewing.
We just got a taste, and while we won’t say they overdid it, we will say that it’s brimming with so much Passionfruit and Pink Guava puree, it leaves a taste of the tropics on your tongue long after your last sip.
Snag one from our tiny stash today and get a true Florida experience, minus the Walmart brawls and gator wrestling, of course.
