A Note on This Beer
Today’s Fortunate Sun is an excellent example of why Dry-Hopped Saisons have become a major trend in modern craft.
Gooseberry and lemongrass notes from Hallertau Blanc and Mandarina Bavaria Hops mingle tastily with the Saison yeast’s tart citrus and fresh floral nuances. Every golden, complex mouthful of Fortunate Sun makes me feel like I’m basking in a ray of sunshine in a bright, blooming field.
Even here in rainy Washington State. There’s a reason local craft fans are turning their eyes South to Washougal. Logsdon Farmhouse Ales put this tiny town on the map with their expertly crafted sunny sippers!
I definitely recommend paying their taproom a visit sometime. It’s nestled right along the Columbia River and has an impressive array of fresh Farmhouse styles on tap. But for now, your taste of this local Pacific Northwest favorite is right here.
Just a heads up — we only have 40 cases of Fortunate Sun to go around!
Logdson is sitting on stacks of GABF and World Beer Cup medals!
