A Note on This Beer
Saison fans in Los Angeles regularly sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic grinning like children on their way to Six Flags. Even creeping down the highway at 2 miles per hour, they’re singing along with the radio and bouncing in their seats. A little traffic can’t keep these craft fiends down, because they’re headed to Casa Agria Specialty Ales in Ventura for a sip of the 4.54 BA rated Frambuesa de la Casa.
This ruby-hued brew is an oaky blend of two specialty Saisons: one aged in red wine barrels for 12 months, and the other foeder-aged for 4 months atop raspberries. That means Frambuesa is packed with nearly 3 pounds of California sun-kissed red raspberries per gallon, for an effervescent, brightly balanced brew.
Only the brewery’s exclusive CASA club has ever had access to this berry-blasted tart Saison. Until now, that is, because we’ve managed to secure an extremely limited supply. We’re beyond excited to bring Frambuesa to craft fans outside of Southern California for the first time ever!
The fruit aficionados at Casa Agria spent over a year carefully crafting this brew with hyper local ingredients from nearby farms, and the tiny batch size ensures that it won’t be available for long. Frambuesa is a true taste of SoCal that begs to be shared. But only with friends who share your impeccable taste.
