Some of life’s greatest pleasures claim French heritage, from French fries to French toast to, oooh la la, French kissing.
The truth is, French fries are Belgian. French toast is Roman. And French kissing? Well, that belongs to the ‘international language.’
So when the crew at Listermann aged their breakfast-inspired Stout in Bourbon barrels and called it Freedom Toast, I didn’t bat an eye — I stood up to salute!
Tasting Notes
A strong cinnamon current is present throughout, creating a confectionary backbone for interplay between sweet maple and roasty walnut flavors. Heaven Hill barrels add character to the backend, with a boozy bourbon note finishing off the body-warming 10% ABV gulp.
