A Note on This Beer
In their coffee and vanilla-infused Friend Zone Tiramisu Imperial Blonde Ale, Gun Hill Brewing serves up a slice of drinkable tiramisu straight from the Bronx.
In this new release, Gun Hill captures the flavor of the authentic Italian dessert made in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City. They use a 8% ABV Blonde base to let the fresh espresso roasts from NYC-based Buunni Cafe shine through much brighter than they might in a dark dessert beer. Caramel malts provide the almond notes of lady finger cookies. Finally, real vanilla gives it a creamy feel and a sweet mascarpone finish.
Gun Hill is a leader in the New York City craft scene. They’ve made the cover of BeerAdvocate and have a devoted following for their dessert focused beers, including pie, smores, and soft serve inspired creations. Now with the ultra sophisticated espresso nuances of tiramisu, they create a brew that makes us happy we’re in their Friend Zone!
