About This Beer
Of the many Sours ET brews every year, owner and head brew Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø declared THIS vintage of Fructus Danica to be “his favorite Sour yet.” That’s some massive praise from a brewer who has seen all kinds of varieties of fruity, smoothie-thick brews pass through his massively popular NYC taproom!
What goes into the favorite beer of a brewing legend? It starts with a bramble berry pucker and a kiss of plushy sweetness from raspberries and blueberries. But, the real kick comes from the ultra-rare buddha’s hand — an ancestor of the citron and a delicious citrus akin to a yuzu or sweet lemon.
Tasting Notes
It’s like a sour gummy candy in a glass, with the mouthfeel of a boozy smoothie straight from the blender! The berry-citrus flavors swirl together brilliantly, like a masterful handcrafted jam. A tart pucker on the cheeks lingers after every refreshing taste, filled with a lemony zip.
