A Note on This Beer
Spread out the white silk tablecloth, because this tangy treat tastes like a dish of peach and nectarine gelato fit for a Michelin starred restaurant!
Served alongside a wedge of aged gouda or in a champagne flute on its own, a few sips and you’ll want to know all about the talented “chefs” at Dwinell.
Here’s the journey the brewery went through to craft today’s Peach-Nectarine Wild Ale (2020):
First, the Dwinell team selected a delicate blend of Mecca Grade Estate Malt (Madras, OR) with a mixture of Farmhouse Ale yeast strains.
Then, they aged the beer for nearly a year before giving it a secondary fermentation alongside tangy, Washington-grown Rich Lady peaches and sweet Honey Blaze nectarines from Gunkel Orchards (Goldendale, WA).
Finally, they aged the beer on the drippy, nectarous fruit for eight more months before bottle conditioning!
Pop the bottle and it smells like a heaping bowl of decadent baked peaches! Each sip is crisp and light, packed with tangy, zesty stone fruit flavor. A lemony pucker, whispers of hay-like funk, and notes of peach skin linger on the tastebuds.
Bottom line, Dwinell endured a meticulous, timely process so a few of you can get a top-tier taste of this stone fruit masterpiece.
