About This Beer
To make this scrumptious Pastry Stout, the crew at Listermann teamed up with Okilly Dokilly — a heavy metal band inspired by Ned Flanders from The Simpsons. They dress like Ned, and they call their music ‘Nedal.’
I am NOT joking. This is all 100% factual. They have videos on YouTube.
Which means you can rock-diddly-ock out to their song “Godspeed Little Doodle” while you sip a pint of Godspeed Little Doodle! Then you can watch the 1993 Simpsons episode ‘Boy Scoutz ‘n the Hood’ where Flanders actually says it!
Tasting Notes
It tastes like a cinnamon churro with a drizzle of fudge, except it comes with an 8% ABV. On the finish, there’s a touch of roast like a sip of mocha, and a faint, candy-like note of licorice.

very dark no taste of cinnamon or vanilla. I was very disappointed in this one. can art is amazing but the flavor profile didn't pull through for me

Just cracked this one open. It pours a dark root beer brown. With creamy tight bubbles that stick around a bit in the edges of your glass.
The smell right out of the can is not overwhelming. You get some cinnamon, bit of vanilla, brown sugars.
When you taste it is where the surprise happens. Straight up snicker doodle cookie.
It is like a cross between a root beer and a fresh batch of cookies with raisins. Mouth feel is good and the flavor sticks around a bit. Which is both good and bad.
Initially you get the cookie flavor. But the tail end of it gets a little bitter.
I thought I read somewhere they use actually cookies. Which might explain my after taste perception. I am thinking cream of tartar.
I quite liked the beer and it wasn't overly sweet. Will almost certainly try again given the chance.

On the edge of being too sweet, but has a really nice cookie flavor. Smooth and definitely not heavy handed like some others of this style can be.

Really nice cinnamon and sugar cookie flavor. Not too heavy or overwhelming. Just about the perfect dessert stout.

was just alright.

Very light for a stout, but it has a lot of flavor. I appreciate that the flavor isn't a syrupy chair that a lot of flanked beers have.

Listermann can do no wrong! This was incredible and nailed the flavor profile perfectly. Wish I could get more of them.

Excellent! very good, very snicker doodle-ly!

I like the subtlety if the cinnamon and lactose. Reading the description I expected to get overwhelmed. Still a sweet pastry stout though which is not my favorite style.

Really enjoyed this. I think it got better after it warmed up a tad

Cinnamon and Vanilla come through strongly. Extremely smooth.

good but a little thin

unreal! the description of cinnamon, cookies, vanilla and lactose made it sound like a sugar bomb, but it was anything but. perfect synergy between the flavors, and not overly sweet or bitter. perfect balance!

sweetness somewhat overwhelms the taste profile

i get flavors of oatmeal raisin cookie and gingerbread in this stout. it’s a dark and rich beer, perfect for winter. not too sweet or too thick. really tasty!

Great name but flavor doesn’t live up to the description for me. Sweet start but a pretty bitter aftertaste with only the slightest hint of that snickerdoodle flavor. Not very rich texture or flavors. A lot of bitter coffee notes. Drinkable but not delicious.

really good beer. amazing how they are dead on with the flavors, however cinnamon was a little much for me. would get it again but probably a beer to only have one at a time.

I expected more flavor and was a bit disappointed. It’s a good beer in general but when you look at the ingredients you expect more.
5.0
solid cookie flavor without being too sweet

seemed a little weak and underwhelming.

Farewell to one of the greats *crying emoji

The sugar and cinnamon was definitely there and quite tasty. FYI Ned Flanders saying "Godspeed little doodle" is referencing a cheese doodle not a snickerdoodle.
