About This Beer

The dream collab of Wayfinder, Heater Allen, and Denver’s Bierstadt Lagerhaus started as you may expect any collaboration starts — with friends brainstorming together. While imbibing many Czech Lagers at Resident Culture’s Lager Fest in Charlotte, NC, Ashleigh and Bill from Bierstadt Lagerhaus, Lisa Allen from Heater Allen, and Kevin Davey from Wayfinder reminisced about their favorite places in the world to have a beer. Ashleigh and Bill spoke fondly of the Golden Tiger in Prague, so they decided to join forces and brew an epic collab Czech Lager in honor of that bar: Polotmavý 13°.

Tasting Notes

Each drink blends a fuller body and rich, complex notes of fresh roasted nuts, honey-spread wheat bread, and a sprinkling of jasmine. That, combined with its quaffable ABV, makes each glass a delicious and easy-drinking companion!

Sweet but subtle, a light cracker malt starts things off. Lightly bitter hops begin to creep in, but just enough to enhance the malt. The hops fade fast, giving way to a lingering sweet bread that lasts forever.

Bright, amber orange pour. Large, pillowy beige head is enduring. Malty, toasted grain aroma. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor upfront. Earthy grain leads to peppery Saaz hops. Some caramel and buttery notes. Dry, bitter finish.

Pale amber color. Decent head and retention. Biscuity, lager-like scent, with a hint of caramel. Light-bodied, with an effervescent mouthfeel. Peppery, spicy noble hop notes. Crisp, clean lager finish, albeit maltier than usual.
