A Note on This Beer
Here’s what happened yesterday, before I got a chance to try Anchorage Brewing’s new beer:
- I missed the bus.
- A dog chased me while I rode my bike. (I love dogs, but this one looked like he wanted to eat me.)
- A pipe broke in my basement while I was away, and I came home to an indoor swamp.
But it’s cool. I went straight to my fridge and cracked open the can the award-winning crew over at Anchorage sent me. As soon as those first splashes of Good Vibe Pils hit my lips, all my troubles seemed to fade away!
Brewed with Czech Saaz Hops and unfiltered for maximum flavor, each golden sip washed over me with notes of resin and orange citrus rind — it was like tasting a relaxing sigh of relief. The snappy finish of zesty lemon and earthy spice kept me diving back in for more crisp 5.5% ABV sips.
By the time my wife came home and asked how my day was, I had a huge grin on my face and told her my day had been fantastic!
(Disclaimer: She hasn’t seen the basement swamp yet. I plan on handing her a can of today’s easy-going Pils and telling her it’s an awesome new indoor pool.)
Sure, those folks up in Alaska have a lot to worry about with all the grizzlies and the hours upon hours of darkness. But, clearly, they're not the only ones in need of a pick-me-up! Which is why I asked the head brewer, Gabe Fletcher, for a stash to share with all of you.
While you’re at it, you might want to grab an extra can or two for those friends of yours who could also use some stress relief. Good Vibe Pils can’t be found anywhere outside of America’s Last Frontier!
*Wondering what’s up with that label? Anchorage’s Gabe Fletcher brewed this Pils for his wife’s fitness studio, /Vib/cycle. Sending good vibes all around!
Good Vibe Pils is too new for ratings, but we’re feelin’ it anyway.
