A Note on This Beer

This brew is like a banana pudding and a piña colada had a baby — with a fun 8% ABV brewed in! I’m almost convinced the brewers just blended up banana coconut cream pie and canned it, it’s so authentically thick, creamy, and delicious.

Plus, it’s a killer collab between the fruit masters at 3 Sons Brewing and Arkane Aleworks, whose Grandma Fingers Sour series boasts an enormous average 4.26 UT-rating.

How they got so much flavor in the brew, even with piles of real, lush bananas and silky coconut, is beyond me.

I’m absolutely loving this cream pie, and I’m not alone! Locals are going bananas for this one, calling it the “best dessert beer ever,” “better than a slice of banana coconut cream pie” and just plain “toooooooo good!”

Next time you make dinner plans, say you’ll bring the beer and dessert. Just make sure to nab a few extra cans. A dessert this good usually means seconds.

Can blew up in a fountain of beer....and it wouldn't stop. The flavor? VERY good, significantly better than expected, but I only got about half of the can. as the rest ended up all over my table and floor. I can also attest yo the chunky nature. While the flavor was excellent, the chunks could be very much seen as a turn off.

Horrid. Chunks of lactose and gross sour coconut. Pretty sure this was not kept cold or was canned poorly. Refund please. Also flavor felt super chemical laden.

Cans exploded when opening and we lost more than half the can to foam. I poured mine into a glass and noticed that there were chunks of congealed matter that was so hard it sounded like ice clinking in the can or something. From what little bit we could drink it wasn’t great. I would never drink it again. It wasn’t overly sweet but the sour flavor made it taste rotten and spoiled instead of tart.

out there and 4th and 5th what everyone else said about this beer. exploded when I opened it. but what I got to taste didn't taste bad. can't believe they don't send some type of instruction with maybe how to not refrigerate beers of this type etc. doesn't look good on tavor.

like the others, the can exploded all over me. I was already having a bad day, and the weird chunks stained my dress, so I started crying. then I tried to drink what was in the can, and it literally tasted like chunky ass globs. so down the drain went the beer. what a waste of $10 and whatever it’s gonna cost to get my dress dry cleaned.

The flavor wasn’t bad, but the texture was awful. I think there may be coconut oil(?) or something that coagulated in the can.

These guys do not mess around. The can was super tight though. I have no idea how it didn’t pop in shipping. I get the texture being off putting, but that’s a ton of coconut. Same with Smooj Pina Colada it’s thick and has a ring of coconut in each can. haha

5 minutes to prevent explosion. Not a particularly good flavor or texture. Disappointing that this keeps happening with certain beers from hot weather climates

Flavor profile was amazing!! I agree with the other comments about the white flakes being kinda gross and the can pretty much exploding when opened, would have rated it a 5+ if didn't have these issues.

The beer actually has a really good banana cream flavor. Really hits all of the notes well. Maybe it's just the can I have, but the banana or coconut oil or something congealed and is kind of unpleasant and off putting.
