A Note on This Beer
A traditional Paloma cocktail is one part tequila and three parts grapefruit juice, topped with soda and served in a glass rimmed with salt. It’s downright refreshing! The trouble is, lady tequila and I don’t dance too well.
Thankfully, the creative masterminds at Indeed Brewing have devised a beer rendition of my favorite cocktail, without the fearsome agave mistress. It’s called Grapefruit Paloma, and it’s a thirst-quenching kettle Sour with real grapefruit!
You could serve it on the rocks in a salt-rimmed glass, and it’d taste just as bright and juicily puckering as the real thing. Though instead of a firewater burn, there are layers of fresh-cut citrus and a pleasantly buzzing 5.5% ABV!
I could easily knock back a couple of these and still have enough pep in my step to whirl a paso doble around the casa. I can’t say the same for the cocktail, which usually sets my cadence to 1, 2, 3, floor.
Move aside, tequila. I’ve found a new dance partner!
