About This Beer
Happy Alone is an 8% ABV Stout from the world-renowned team at Anchorage Brewing Company! To craft it, head brewer Gabe Fletcher and his dexterous crew finished their decadent Stout base on coffee, tahitian vanilla, cinnamon, and milk sugar. Every sip is delightfully smooth, and wonderfully decadent – without being overly boozy.

very strong cinnamon, kind of milky like a bitter horchata.

Really good and exceptionally smooth. Very coffee forward but delicious. I’m not usually a fan of lactose of any kind in beer but this is a good one

great coffee smell, but too much cinnamon in the taste. would be much better without cinnamon

Dark chocolate and coffee. Delicious

it was good, but just not having that Anchorage barrel age just makes it ok

Great oatmeal stout and I thought the coffee flavor was mild and just right

An outstanding stout with a strong coffee beginning that provides a slight bitterness. The cinnamon is subtle and appears later.

I have not been a fan of many of their bottled and high priced stouts….sorry, but they were flat and it felt like drinking syrup. this one is much different. thick, smooth with heavy coffee on the nose and the palate. definitely will make me reconsider my feeling when considering future beers.

Very bitter but still tasty. The coffee flavors helped a lot.
4.25
pleasant and flavorful stout, while remaining mild enough to not be overwhelmed and focus on the wonderful mouth feel of oat

A lingering bitterness, a little like burnt coffee.
4.75
one of the best coffee stouts I've had
4.0
Roasty coffee with a touch of sweetness from the milk sugar. The cinnamon adds a subtle kick. Smooth, yet dry, which is quite different from the quite viscous stouts I’ve had from ABC.

solid stout, dark and dry. always good stuff
4.25
Creamy, chocolately, and a little hint of cinnamon.

excellent

drainpour. the cinnamon was overly powerful and didn’t meld at all with the tahitian vanilla. this would have been delicious with just the vanilla or even the base beer, which I could tell was delicious. womp womp

the mixture of flavors was spot on. The vanilla, cinnamon, and coffee were the best taste in an oat stout I have had thus far.

lovely for a style that isn’t totally my thing.

It tastes like pure cocoa and coffee beans ground up, made into a paste with the tiniest bit of wort, then garnished with a dash of cinnamon. I thought for the first 10 sips, I had finally found a stout I could not handle. But it may be one of the best.
