About This Beer
Barrel of Monks are often innovating on olden styles, and Hazelnut Vanilla Dubbel is no exception. This is a variant of their Abbey Torno base, enriched with delicious laces of real vanilla and sumptuous hazelnut, for nostalgic flavors of fresh made kettle corn!

If you like artificial coffee creamer, this beer is for you. I hate it, so this was one of the worst beers i’ve tasted in a while. All i could taste was artificial vanilla and fake “nut” flavor with an acrid backbone.

Unfortunately have to agree with the other reviews here. This has a grossly artificial taste to it. The hazelnut and vanilla work really poorly together. Rather unfortunate I have no clue how this maintained a decent overall score in the app.

Bold hazelnut nose, sweet artificial flavor, but still drinkable

big nutty aroma but the flavor is weak - Watery and sweet.

This drink is like eating a cookie. I can also taste the dark fruits in it. I really like this one.

This was super fragrant with the vanilla and hazelnut. I enjoyed the taste.

I HATED this, in fact, the hazelnut was extremely overpowering and artificial.

One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

Not dark enough or heavy enough mouth feel for the flavor profile. Fake tasting.

Sweetness is there but not overly sweet to me like many others have been saying. Smells great. Hazelnut is definitely present but not overpowering. Notes of dark fruit there as well. Pleasantly surprised by this one. Tasty 👌🏼

This is the kind of seasonal beer I really look forward to and was not disappointed. The hazelnut aroma, caramel and brown sugar flavor, finished with the spicy nuttiness of this ale made me smile.

I actually liked the hazelnut and vanilla combo. Very creamy dubbel that’s more of a dessert malt than anything else.

yummy dessert

Dominant hazelnut flavoring mostly erases the Belgian attributes. Not bad, but not up to par for these guys.

Not a big fan of Belgians but this one was
pretty good.
