A Note on This Beer
Drew Fox grew his brewing name to rockstar-status by collaborating with top-tier breweries including Mikkeller, Three Floyds, Tired Hands, and Other Half — gaining legions of new fans with every project. So when he left Pipeworks, his devoted fans followed him like he was Paul McCartney, dying to get a taste of his first solo beer release.
Fox had reached such a high caliber of notoriety, he could have opened a brewery in any competitive city in the country. But he wanted to do something bigger: usher in an entirely new beer scene! So he opened 18th Street Brewery in the remote town of Gary, Indiana.
After earning a stellar 4.03 brewery rating on BeerAdvocate Fox’s beers still didn’t leave Indiana. Turns out being a craft beer fan isn’t as easy as being a fan of rock & roll. You can’t just go online and download a new beer.
So here’s your backstage pass to taste a juicy IPA called Here Comes The Reaper, brewed by an underground craft rockstar. A hoppy beer with aromas akin to walking through a citrus grove. One that’s dank and dripping with mandarin orange juice backed by a toasty biscuit and dry finish that applauds for an encore sip. A sip that’ll make you join the 18th Street Brewing bandwagon with the rest of us.
