A Note on This Beer
Call me crazy, but a bowl of ice cream isn’t complete until you douse it in Dark Beer excellence.
And, it’s been a heck of a long time since I found a Stout more worthy of such sinful decadence than Hold the Spoon: Black Chocolate Cake.
The fabled pastry-makers at The Bruery craft this Imperial Stout to taste like ice cream blasted with chocolate cake, bittersweet fudge, and chocolate chunks. This means you can expect Black Chocolate Cake to deliver on every one of your cocoa-centric cravings.
To replicate those massive, lick-the-spoon-clean chocolate cake flavors, the brewers used a complex, yet highly choco-expressive malt bill and several types of cacao nibs. Then, to give it that rich, ice cream smoothness, they added some creamy vanilla, a dose of silky lactose, and a dash of salt to cut the sweetness.
So, if you want to know what sweet-tooth heaven tastes like, grab yourself a stash!
Then, pour some Black Chocolate Cake over a scoop of your favorite ice cream and experience what I lovingly call the “Dessert of Craft Beer Champions.”
