A Note on This Beer
Portland, Oregon is a magical place where young people go to retire and nerds are considered hip.
Today, nerds of all types — from the hop-geeks at Stormbreaker to the video game enthusiasts at iLikeitNerdy nightclub — have joined forces for a collab called Hop It Don’t Drop It Hazy IPA.
It’s named after the challenge of holding your beer bottle and a game controller at the same time.
The real test is trying to get your hands on this 22oz juice-bomber outside of Stormbreaker’s taproom though! It’s doubtful Tavour members will leave any of this brew behind, except empty bottles, since the last tropical Hazy we scored from the brewery earned a 4.40 from our community!
Hop It Don’t Drop It boasts sweet aromas of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and hints of pear. It flows gently over the palate with a soft, bitter-free mouthfeel. Juicy waves of fruity hops rise to a high tide with watermelon-laden El Dorado, ruby red grapefruity Simcoe, and sweet, lychee-like Citra.
Whether you’re an expert first-person enforcer, ballin’ on 2k18, or battling Orcs to save the princess, you can drink and game properly now that the hazy hopheads and the hardcore gamers have united.
And, don’t drop the controller — that’s the gamer party foul equivalent of spilling craft beer.
*Stormbreaker labels their fresh dates a little differently — 1832020 on the bottom of the can translates to “canned on the 183rd day of 2020,” or July 2, 2020.
Tavour strictly supports independent beer. StormBreaker Brewing is certified independent by the Brewers Association
