Former New Yorker and Tavour writer Dylan, here, taking the mic today. I’m hooking you up with an insider’s view on the latest Double IPA stunner to come out of the Big Apple!

First off, Evil Twin crafted today’s Hazy, and Forbes calls their brews “ground-breaking.” The brewery made it in their new Brooklyn location — and Tavour members are the only ones outside of NY to get a crack at it! 

Next, the name I MADE THE MISTAKE OF SITTING IN THE MAP SEAT AGAIN is hilarious! If you’ve ever sat on an NYC subway, you know there are detailed maps on the wall, about head-level. And if you sit in the “map seat,” you’ll quickly find yourself face to face with a tourist attempting to navigate around your head to figure out directions. 

The only other time you’ll find someone staring that intensely is when you pour today’s thick, Sunny D-looking Hazy. Only this time, the head they'll be staring at will be the fluffy foam that sits atop your glass like a cloud.  

And the taste, let me tell ya! Map Seat Again burrows a bold 8.3% ABV under dank and juicy layers of pineapple, mango, cantaloupe, and blueberry kush. It feels luxurious on the palate; the mouthfeel is like a pillow for your tongue.  

Finally, if you make something in the Empire State — good or bad — New Yorkers will give you their very candid opinions. That’s why it’s so impressive that Evil Twin crafts juicebombs in a mecca surrounded by Other Half, Grimm, Threes, Equilibrium, SingleCut, the list goes on and on — yet ET still consistently earns 4+ Untappd ratings from these NY beer fans with Skyscraper-high standards.
