A Note on This Beer
@Jim C. calls KCBC’s new DDH Intruder Annihilation DIPA a straight-up “juice machine.”
This brew is so creamy and nectarous, it tastes like it was concocted by the fitness guru and juice evangelist Jack LaLanne!
If there wasn’t a touch of hoppy pine bitterness, and the sweet, balanced heat of an 8.8% ABV, I’d almost think KCBC had one of those LaLanne juice machines hidden somewhere in the taproom.
But, fresh and over-the-top juicy flavor is why these Brooklyn brewers are heralded as some of NYC’s best — they make hop juice that’s almost deceptively good!
How’d they do it? Well, we know they started by double dry-hopping with ‘copious amounts’ of Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and Motueka Hops for tropical bursts of ripe mango, fresh-squeezed OJ, drippy melon and even white grape.
The rest comes from KCBC’s expertise as one of the country’s top brew crews — Thrillist calls KCBC “NYC’s Best Brewery,” and Vinepair even named them one of the “Ten Best Breweries in America!”
Needless to say, mysterious fruitbomb IPAs brewed by KCBC like Intruder Annihilation should always be tested, examined, and most importantly, tasted. Especially since these brews are rarely seen outside of NYC!
