A Note on This Beer
Did you know that Mario was originally named Jumpman when he made his debut in the 1981 arcade classic, Donkey Kong?
Which is fitting, because I would totally brave scaffolding and a barrel-rolling monkey for some of today’s luscious TIPA!
To craft it, the Super Mikerphone Bros. crew teamed up with friends at RAR. The duo started with a pillowy base before triple dry hopping it with HBC 586, Simcoe, and Vic Secret for giant gorilla-sized waves of juice.
Luscious nuances of tangy OJ, succulent pineapple, and ripe apricot bound through every swig like a barrel down a crooked girder. A touch of lemongrass and pine rounds out the sip for a refreshing finish that begs another taste. Just mind the 9.5% ABV or those barrels aren’t the only thing getting hammered!
It’s the ideal sort of brew to relax with on a sunny weekend afternoon or in the evening after a long day of work. Maybe pair it with an old arcade favorite or a current day classic like Super Mario Wonder. But if you find yourself speaking in a faux Italian accent, that’s probably the ABV talking.
Fun fact: “Jumpman” is also the name of the Air Jordan logo!
