About This Beer
The brewers at Elder Pine tell me that “Kankitsu” is Japanese for “citrus.” After starting with a rice Lager base, the team infused this limited brew with real green tea, wheat, yuzu, lemon, and lime for crisp flavors that invigorate as much as they please the palate.
Tasting Notes
Notes of freshly baked baguette cascade into bright bursts of lemon-lime citrus. A subtle tea-forward earthiness comes through on the backend, rounding out the ultra-refreshing sip.

Little bland.

Great sushi beer!

More complexities compared to a traditional lager, but I think that adds to it rather than takes away from it. Very refreshing.

Overall it has the perfect crispness for a lager. The one complaint I have is that there was way too much lime in it for me. I wish it had a bit more tea flavoring.

Not a fan of Lager but this one wasn’t too bad. Wasn’t overly hoppy but just right.

Very weird beer, pretty heavy on the rice and lemongrass

Like drinking cold Tom Yum soup. Ever add too many condiments to something and ruin it? That’s what happened to this: It tastes like lemongrass and citrus and a bunch of other things – it just doesn’t taste like BEER. I can’t finish one can, and I bought six of these abominations. Who let this happen?

It’s drinkable, but there’s a bit too much going on with this one. Sometimes simplicity is best

I really loved this! It’s light and crisp, I wish I bought more.

Slightly citrusy and thicker then you would expect. Thirst quenching!

A nice crisp flavor, slightly citrus but basically exactly what I want in a summer beer.

The contents were as delightful as the gorgeous packaging. Paired nicely with curry.

Good and refreshing. My friends and I had it with sushi, maybe thats why we didn't notice the overload of flavors.

What a delicious beer! Light and refreshing! The Lemongrass adds a nice touch. Clean and fresh.

I normally don't drink lager, but was a bit curious about this one and was surprised to like it. It is far lighter than what I normally drink, but doesn't seem as watered-down as others lagers. Furthermore, with the odd pairing of rice and tea, it left me with a pleasant after taste. If I could k would buy more if I can.

Very fun beer, the yuzu and lemon play a large part in this beers flavors. Tastes like a homemade lemonade/
lager radler; YUM

Light, bright, and citrusy. Finishes with a bit of earthiness from the green tea and a kick of yuzu and lemon.

light, herbal, and citrusy. It’s underwhelming but drinkable

good beer, would drink again, but would rather drink something I like more. none of the added tastes (tea, yuzu, etc) are overwhelming. like and crisp, like a more refreshing version of a shandy, lighter mouth feel than a wheat beer
4.5
smooth

lemon and grass and a sweetness I can’t place. decent rice lager but other elder pine rice largers set a a much higher bar
