About This Beer
For Karasu, the Abnormal Beer crew took two different cultures’ Lagers, Japanese and German, and slapped them together to mouthwatering effect!
To craft it, they teamed up with the Lager meisters at Eppig Brewing. The duo started with a malty base carefully hopped with Columbus, Nugget, Northern Brewer, and Saaz for all the rich, deep, bittersweet chocolate flavors of a Schwarzbier. But, a delicate amount of rice keeps the brew exceptionally light and crisp.
Tasting Notes
Sweet, toasted, dark bread leads each sip swirled with florals and wafts of grass. Cocoa and malt rise toward the end before a clean, snappy finish.

interesting. the Japanese rice beer and Schwartz are both there. bit like a Sapporo with more flavor profile.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but this is a good lager style beer. The dark color is appealing and the taste is subtle.
