About This Beer
The innovative crew crafted Kerf by combining several hand-selected batches of their favorite barrel-aged beers: two bourbon barrel-aged stouts, two apple brandy barrel-aged stouts, and two bourbon barrel-aged barleywines. Then they took the six-brew blend and racked it on maple bourbon barrels for twelve months before adding Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla beans!
Tasting Notes
This bottle packs more barrels than the bottom of Niagra Falls — and the sips are a smoother ride, too. Every maple-drenched dram floods your palate with a sweet, sticky essence. As the pour settles, a rustic complexity shines, with tones of caramelized oak bolstering the chewy nuances of dark fruit. Hints of chocolate, brandy, and smoke round out the gulp, masking the heft of the 13% ABV.
