A Note on This Beer
With 4 GABF medals for their IPAs, Breakside Brewing are masters of the West Coast hop-bomb. So when they tackled the juicy NE-Style, they added in some of their own NW zesty grapefruit flair. Say hello to their Kids These Haze: the first in their new seasonal series of East Coast-inspired IPAs.
Tavour members dig Breakside’s new twist on the NE-Style, giving the last one we shared a 4.09 community rating for its tropical, fruity, dank, soft, and balanced character. Kids These Haze falls right into this new hoppy hybrid flavor wheelhouse.
This beer is inspired by a new generation of brewers who may be young, but are also the first cohort of new brewers to grow up in the Golden Age of craft. And they know what they like: juicy, tropical, and punchy hops. With their creative guidance Breakside paired together late additions of blueberry-evoking Mosaic Hops with the orange sherbet flavors of Amarillo and pineapple-drenched Eldorado for a soft and sessionable drinking experience.
It feels like every brewery is riding the NE-Style haze-train these days, but Breakside is using their hoppy expertise to transform the trend into something unique and delicious that their classically trained minds can appreciate: Kids These Haze.
