A Note on This Beer
Urban Dictionary defines a “Basic” as a person who’s only interested in things that are mainstream and popular. They wear Ugg boots and use selfie-sticks. And they’re well aware of their basic tendencies and therefore particularly amusing to poke fun at.
The most common beverage you’ll see in the hands of Basics this spring is Rosé. It makes sense, the pink drink is light, refreshing, and always trending on social media.
It’s time to take notice and give the Basics some props! One of the most creative Wild Ale breweries in the country has reinvented the style into a tart, funk-heavy Barrel-Aged Sour — it’s so good, it’s worth all the teasing and shit talking your buddies could possibly conjure up.
But this beer is anything but basic — Minneapolis’ Wild Mind has turned some heads in Minnesota with their 4.16 UT-rated Pinot Grigio grape-infused, barny wild yeast-laden La Rose Blanche. Beer geeks are literally mocking themselves for loving this beer so much.
“I thought I would hate this. Lots of grape and understated sourness. It’s very good!”
“If all white wine was like this I could get down with it.”
“Tart, fruity, and creamy. Didn’t expect it to be 8.2% ABV!”
Share today’s beer with your biggest Sour Ale snob friends as well as your most Basic of buddies. It’s a surefire crowd pleaser with a delicious funky tartness that no one will ever see coming.
