About This Beer

This once-a-year release is one of TrimTab’s most anticipated brews! To create it, the crew aged their lucious and chocolatey brew in freshly emptied Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels, imparting notes of caramel and a touch of toffee. Then, they let it condition on real Madagascar vanilla beans and hundreds of pounds of toasted coconut, giving it toasty notes and a smooth, almost creamy finish.

Tasting Notes

We get notes of caramel and a touch of toffee. It all blends with charred oak and butterscotch flavors from the bourbon barrel, laced with the silky smoothness of vanilla and the nutty sweetness of coconut.

Pours very dark but has a red hue in the light. Smells like roasted coffee, vanilla and light oaky bourbon Very good flavor to this one that follows the nose nicely however the mouthfeel let’s this beer down. It’s flat and almost thin like drinking watered down cold brew. Otherwise very high quality!

Nice bourbon on the nose. The vanilla notes really come through, with a bit of coconut. the bourbon notes are present, but not overpowering. Well-balanced and quite drinkable.
